3 TOP CELPIP SPEAKING SECRETS

3 Top CELPIP Speaking Secrets:  We only teach these secrets in our classes, but because the overwhelming majority of people are failing the CELPIP speaking test, I want to share these secrets.  From the emails we get, we encourage them to take our courses, and these are some of the things we teach in our classes, and you will not have these problems anymore; of course, we teach a million things that will help you excel in your test.

Today we are going to discuss three things/ most crucial techniques that you can use for your CELPIP Exam and your overall English, the more you do it, the better you have it and become, and you will sound like a native speaker and a super fluent speaker.

TECHNIQUE NO. 1 – RECORD AND LISTEN TO YOURSELF

Recording and listening to yourself is a great secret for CELPIP speakers! It is an excellent way to improve your speaking skills. Further, when you listen to the recording, you can identify areas where you need improvement, such as pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary.

If you have your CELPIP coming up – Record and Listen to yourself

It’s clingy, it’s uncomfortable, and we don’t like to do that. When you listen to yourself, you tend to be very insecure. For instance, all beautiful women have one thing in common: they are all insecure about themselves, even when alone in the room, because that is how women are.  Whereas, for the men, the looks and finances could be all different.

We tend to judge ourselves way too much no matter who we are, and that’s good if you are doing this CELPIP exam. Indeed, it would help if you played these CELPIP speaking answers when you practice at home; listen to yourself, you will be super judgmental, and you will best listen to yourself.  It is certainly possible that even when you get to the speaker, you will still be fretful, extra careful, and insecure. Nevertheless, when you listen to yourself and evaluate your mistakes, you might wonder, “Why would I still make mistakes if I knew them?” You will still make them and can point them out for correction.

Many students listen to themselves and ask, “How did I make this one? I could have used the correct grammar here; I could have said this better or used a better word.  But when speaking, they do not note that, so it’s essential to listen to yourself, understand your mistakes, and ensure you don’t repeat them.

There will never be a perfect attempt but keep on recording multiple times.   Gradually, you will see a massive difference within two weeks when you play the first recording, and two weeks later, in the last recording, you will have a huge difference, and that’s how you will see how valuable it was to practice speaking while recording yourself.

I am giving you these techniques, especially if you don’t want to spend any money on coaching; of course, life teaching and coaching feedback can make a huge difference in your study, but if you’re going to do it all by yourself, follow these tips.

With CELPIP, you also need to time yourself, and that’s where the recording will help. It will keep you on time and show you if you are rushing at the end or starting on time when you begin.

Here are some tips for using this technique effectively:

  • Choose a topic and practice speaking about it for 1-2 minutes.
  • Record yourself speaking and listen to the recording.
  • Take note of any mistakes you made or areas where you can improve.
  • Practice speaking again, focusing on the areas where you need improvement.
  • Re-record yourself and listen to the recording.
  • Repeat this process until you are satisfied with your speaking skills.

By practicing in this way, you’ll be able to identify your weaknesses and work on improving them. Over time, you’ll become more confident and fluent in speaking English, which will help you achieve a higher score on the CELPIP speaking test.

TECHNIQUE NO. 2 – SPEECH-TO-TEXT SOFTWARE

Using speech-to-text software is another great secret for CELPIP speaking. You can go online and search for text-to-speech software. You can do it either on your iPhone or Android. Therefore, when you go to the massaging app, click the microphone and say all you want to practice, and it will write everything for you. Say everything you need, make sentences, and make CELPIP answers. Then check whether it wrote everything that you said. However, if it did not, chances are the computer was imperfect, or you needed to speak more clearly. Clarity is very crucial in CELPIP. It will award you marks.

Also, please check whether the machine transcribes the exact text you are trying to say. If it’s writing the same thing, then you are super explicit.

Something else essential to check is whether your accent is thick or has no pauses, so the emphasis will help you sound better.

Speech-to-text software can help you identify areas where you need improvement by transcribing what you say into text.

Here are some tips for using this technique effectively:

  • Choose a topic and practice speaking about it for 1-2 minutes.
  • Use speech-to-text software to transcribe what you say into text.
  • Review the text and identify any mistakes or areas you can improve.
  • Practice speaking again, focusing on the areas where you need improvement.
  • Use the software again to transcribe and compare your new speech to your previous one.
  • Repeat this process until you are satisfied with your speaking skills.

Using speech-to-text software lets, you get feedback on your speaking skills differently, which can help you improve even more. This technique can also help you build your confidence and reduce anxiety since you can focus on speaking without worrying about making mistakes. Just use reliable software and correct the transcribed text to ensure accuracy.

TECHNIQUE NO. 2   – CONTROL YOUR BREATHING

Controlling your breathing may seem like nothing that belongs to the three magical CELPIP speaking tips.  It would look like an idea using connectors, complex words, and sentences.

I put it on this list because pauses can do a whole range of things for you; delays have tremendous power that people don’t realize. People need help understanding their breaks and how to use them.

Controlling your breathing is essential to improve your performance in CELPIP speaking. When you own your breathing, you can say more clearly and confidently and avoid running out of breath.

Here are some tips to help you control your breathing:

  • Breath deeply: Take a deep breath before you start speaking. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. This will help you relax and calm your nerves.
  • Speak slowly: Speaking too quickly can cause you to run out of breath. You can speak slowly and steadily, pausing to breathe when necessary.
  •  Use pauses: Pauses are an essential aspect of CELPIP speaking. When used effectively, pauses can help you deliver a clear and concise message, emphasize important points, and engage your audience. You can use pauses strategically to breathe and gather your thoughts.

Tips to help you use pauses effectively during the CELPIP speaking test:

  • Use pauses to gather your thoughts: If you get stuck or lose your train of thought, pause briefly to gather your thoughts and compose yourself.
  • Use pauses for emphasis: Use a break to emphasize essential points your speech.   This will help your audience understand the significance of what  you are saying.
  •  Use pauses to check your pace: Use a pause to match your rate and ensure that you speak reasonably. This will help you avoid talking too quickly    and running  out of breath.
  • Practice pausing: Practice speaking with pauses to become comfortable with this technique. Record yourself speaking and listen for opportunities where you could use a break.

Using pauses effectively can improve your message delivery, engage your audience, and demonstrate your speaking skills during the CELPIP speaking test.

It is essential to know when to pause, for some international figures like Baraka Obama break every two to three words.

I recommend you listen to youtube rubber brown for further learning on pauses.

These techniques can improve your breathing control, reduce anxiety, and speak more effectively during the CELPIP speaking test.
